Mrs. Ankle, a dedicated Harlem native of Jamaican descent, has leveraged her experience as a Registered Nurse in the NYC Department of Education to pursue her passion for addressing health disparities among underserved pediatric populations. During her tenure in the public school system, Mrs. Ankle recognized a significant lack of knowledge and resources critical for maintaining a quality life. This realization further motivated her to pursue advanced education and develop initiatives that address these gaps, ensuring that children and their families have access to the information and support they need for better health outcomes.
After earning her Master's of Science as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University, she focuses on providing compassionate care and patient education to empower children and their families. She aspires to develop and implement culturally sensitive care plans to combat issues such as childhood obesity, asthma management, mental health awareness, and adolescent health. Outside of her professional endeavor's, she cherishes quality time with her husband and children and actively participates in her church family ministry.
